Message to All Graduate School Students and Faculty

From: Graduate School Dean Lynn Cooley

With the first major winter storm coming today, I ask you to watch the situation and to stay safe. As announced in the recent email from Martha Highsmith and the Office of Emergency Management, all Monday night and Tuesday classes are cancelled and university operations are reduced to critical functions only. Please stay indoors and off the roads and sidewalks, as instructed by Yale, city and state officials.

During the blizzard and its cleanup, you should NOT try come onto campus for any lab work, meetings, activities, or research – this applies to graduate students and visiting research students, and family members
Please stay inside and wait until officials declare it safe to move around the city and campus. Let the emergency cleanup crews do their work - don’t risk your safety or that of the first responders who may have to find and help you
