Yale Alert Test
This is a TEST of the Yale ALERT system. Today is 11/8/18. No action is required at this time. In the event of an emergency on campus, it is important for you to be prepared and know how to respond to information provided to you through Yale ALERT. Depending on the situation, you may receive instructions to evacuate or to shelter in place. Shelter in place generally means finding a safe location indoors and staying there until given the “all clear” through the Yale ALERT System. Instructions may vary depending on the situation, the location of the emergency on campus, and information available from law enforcement and others. Updates would also be provided at http://emergency.yale.edu.
As a reminder, an informational video that outlines how to respond to an active shooter situation on campus and other preparedness materials are available on the Yale Emergency Management website http://emergency.yale.edu/be-prepared/active-shooterweapon
