Multiple university buildings are currently without power due to a transformer failure in the Lower Hill House area and Prospect St. Facilities is actively responding, triaging impacts, and assessing the full scope of the outage.
Please avoid Sachem St. as fire and utility vehicles work in the area.
Those of you that work in a research lab impacted, please cap and secure research materials and vacate the building.
Once power has been restored, EHS will evaluate the ventilation systems in the buildings and provide an all-clear.
We will provide regular updates as more information becomes available until the incident is fully resolved.
