In the extremely rare event of an active assailant situation on campus, the collective police force from Yale and New Haven will immediately respond and converge on the scene. However, most active assailant situations are over in less than 10 minutes, and each of us must be prepared to take immediate, decisive action.

This video was created through a collaborative effort that brought together expertise from departments across Yale (including Public Safety, University Life, and Accessibility Services) to advise on content to provide that the training highlights different aspect of campus life and reflects the latest best practices. The video was also filmed on campus and features a number of students and staff.
